Grill Bot Achieved Their Best Year Ever, Year-After-Year, With Only TV Advertising!

BACKGROUND

Grillbot is the world’s first automatic grill-cleaning robot that gets the job done with a push of a button. It's easy to use, durable, and makes a great gift. Grillbot was originally available in thousands of retail stores, but due to low margins and profits, Founder Ethan Woods decided to completely change his strategy to focus only on direct-to-consumer.

CHALLENGE

Despite earning millions of dollars in retail revenue, the margins and profits were low. Ethan came to Harvest Growth for help on how to enter the new territory of the B2C

e-commerce market to grow his business.

STRATEGY

The team at Harvest Growth strategized with Ethan to come up with a plan to transform the Grillbot business from brick and motor to B2C through a national DRTV advertising campaign. HG then scripted and produced the Grillbot infomercial.

THE CAMPAIGN

RESULTS

The infomercial was so successful that Ethan was able to completely shut down the brick-and-mortar side of his business and move his entire business model to e-commerce. He focused all of his advertising dollars on the DRTV campaign to grow top-line revenues and bottom-line profits. He still only runs TV advertising and the original infomercial still runs today and has only been slightly updated by the Harvest Growth team throughout the years to fit the season or to renew the messaging.
