Meet Team HG: Heather — Content Marketing Manager

Updated: Feb 12

Welcome to the HG blog post series, #MeetTeamHG, where we will be posting an interview with each person on our executive team!

Heather joined Harvest Growth as Content Marketing Manager in April 2022. She went to Metropolitan State University of Denver and received her bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Sport with a concentration in Sport Industry Operations and a minor in Marketing. At HG, Heather writes content for our website, social media, blog, podcasts, and more, as well as writes ad copy and survey concepts for our clients and manages their social content! She’s also very involved in our video shoot processes, from writing scripts to helping with direction on set. During her free time, Heather is actually a homebody! She loves to wind down by watching movies with her son, reading a book, or playing with her dog, Latte.

Learn more about Heather in her team interview below!

How long have you been in the marketing/advertising industry?

Since 2018, but slightly longer if you include my Marketing Internship with the Colorado Rapids. I have worked for brands anywhere from small start-ups to large global brands.

What advice would you give yourself if you could go back to Day 1 of your career?

Don’t allow someone else’s self-limiting beliefs to hold you back from your potential.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in a small town in Indiana and also spent time intermittently in Colorado as my mom is from here.

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?

When I was younger, I would get Britney Spears or Audrina Patridge, depending on my hair color at the time. Now I hear Scheana Shay, but most commonly get “you have a familiar face.” A lot of people think they know me from somewhere.

Favorite recent brand experience?

I’ve been enjoying my experience with Imperfect Foods recently. I order groceries to be delivered every other week. I like that they are on a mission to help eliminate food waste and track how much food, water and CO2 emissions I’ve saved. So far, with just 5 orders, I’ve helped save 31lbs of food, 1,072 gallons of water, and 24lbs of CO2. Pretty cool! Some of the produce comes smaller or with markings on them, but I just think that's how it’s supposed to look before all the GMOs. I like that Imperfect Foods will up-cycle ingredients to also make their own products; my favorite is the Organic Dark Chocolate Nut Pieces. I enjoy trying new foods and brands that I may not stumble across at the local grocery store and typically buy my candies, snacks, and drinks from them that are up-cycled, overstock, or have an error on the packaging. They also have a lot of vegan options which are fun to try too!

What would you name the autobiography of your life?

“Let’s do it!” - An Autobiography of Heather Blomberg. Any time someone expresses an idea for a business or product, I will immediately run a thousand miles with ideas and brand strategies, especially when I see their talent and potential.

Favorite quote?

“Scared money don’t make no money” - YG.

If you could go to any concert (dead or alive), who would it be?

Michael Jackson - hands down.

What is your hidden talent?

I picked up roller skating during 2020 quarantine. I wouldn’t say I'm talented at it though - yet!

Least favorite word?

Can’t - even though it's technically two words. There is always a solution to everything; you may just haven't found it yet.

What would you do if you won $1,000,000?

I would go on a really long vacation to the Mediterranean and visit many countries along it, move to a warm climate, and invest in a business!
